Randolph County, Georgia (Map It) was created on December 20, 1828 from Lee County. Portions of Randolph County were used to form the following counties: Stewart County (1830), Clay County (1854), Terrell County (1856), and Quitman County (1858) . Randolph County was named in honor of John Randolph of Roanoke (1773 - 1833), a U.S. Congressman.
Randolph County is bordered by  Stewart County (north), Webster County (northeast), Terrell County (east), Calhoun County (southeast), Clay County (southwest), Quitman County (west)

- Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court has Land Records from 1830 and Court Records from 1838. The County Clerk of Superior Court has jurisdiction over cases for title to land and equity, felony cases, adoptions, divorces, child support and custody enforcement. The clerk also is tasked with recording deeds and maintaining the chain of title to all property in the county.
