Terrell County, Georgia (Map It) was created on February 16, 1856 from Lee County and Randolph County. Terrell County was named in honor of Dr. William Terrell (1778 - 1855), U.S. Congressman.

Terrell County is bordered by  Webster County (north), Sumter County (northeast), Lee County (east), Dougherty County (southwest), Calhoun County (southwest), Randolph County (west)
