Andrew County, Missouri (Map It) was created on January 29, 1841 from the Platte Purchase. The county was named in honor of Andrew Jackson Davis (1826-1910), spiritualist and missionary who settled in St. Louis.

Andrew County is bordered by Nodaway County (north), Gentry County (northeast), DeKalb County (east), Buchanan County (south), Doniphan County, Kansas (southwest), Holt County (west).
