Colfax County, Nebraska (Map It) was created on February 15, 1869 from Platte County. The county was named in honor of Schuyler Colfax, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and Vice President of the United States.
Colfax County is bordered by Dodge County (east), Butler County (south), Platte County (west), Stanton County (north), Cuming County (northeast).
