Brunswick County, North Carolina (Map It) was created on January 30, 1764 from Bladen County and New Hanover County. This county was named for George I of Great Britain (1660–1727), Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg.
Brunswick County is bordered by Pender County (northeast), New Hanover County (east), Horry County, South Carolina (southwest), Columbus County (northwest).

The Brunswick County Courthouse is located in Bolivia, North Carolina. The Clerk's Office DOES NOT DO RESEARCH. Most staff will assist people in finding the materials, but it is up to the individual to do the research.
