Bollinger County, Missouri (Map It) was created on March 1, 1851 from Cape Girardeau County, Madison County, Stoddard County and Wayne County. The county was named in honor of George Frederick Bollinger (1770-1842), early settler of Missouri .
Bollinger County is bordered by Perry County (north), Cape Girardeau County (east), Stoddard County (south), Wayne County (southwest), Madison County (northwest).
