The following dates indicate what vital, land, probate, and court records are in Limestone county. The date listed for each record is usually the earliest registration filed. The date does not indicate that there are alot records for that year and does not mean that all such events were actually filed with the clerk.

Courthouse destroyed by fire in October 1873 at Springfield and most county records were destroyed. A fire at Groesbeck on February 1, 1891, records were stored in vaults and were not lost. The unused Old Courthouse, built in 1891, was destroyed by fire in May 1954.
