Bernalillo County, New Mexico Records
Bernalillo County, New Mexico (Map It) was created on January 6, 1852 as one of the nine original counties. The county was named in honor of Gonzales-Bernal family, Spanish nobles who settled the territory in the seventeenth century.
Bernalillo County is bordered by Sandoval County (north), Santa Fe County (east), Torrancel County (east), Valencial County (south), Cibola County (west).
