Phillips County, Colorado (Map It) was created on March 27, 1889 and was split from Logan County. Phillips County was named in honor of R.O. Phillips, secretary of the Lincoln Land Company, which sold farmsteads in the area.
Phillips County is bordered by Sedgwick County (north), Perkins County, Nebraska (northeast), Chase County, Nebraska (east), Yuma County (south), Logan County (west).
