Todd County, South Dakota (Map It) was created on March 09, 1909 from Meyer County, Tripp County. The county was named in honor of John Blair Smith Todd, territorial delegate to Congress.
Todd County is bordered by Mellette County (north), Tripp County (east), Bowman County, Nebraska (south), Bennett County (west).
