Paulding County, Georgia (Map It) was created on December 3, 1832 from Cherokee County. Paulding County was named in honor of John Paulding (1759 - 1818), a hero of the Revolutionary War.

The Paulding County Courthouse is located in Dallas, Georgia. The County Courthouse was destroyed by fire abt circa 1850, most records were destroyed.
