Paulding County, Georgia (Map It) was created on December 3, 1832 from Cherokee County. Paulding County was named in honor of John Paulding (1759 - 1818), a hero of the Revolutionary War.
Paulding County is bordered by  Bartow County (north), Cobb County (east), Douglas County (south), Carroll County (south), Haralson County (southwest), Polk County (west)

The Paulding County Courthouse is located in Dallas, Georgia. The County Courthouse was destroyed by fire abt circa 1850, most records were destroyed.
