Haralson County, Georgia (Map It) was created on January 26, 1856 from Carroll County and Polk County. Haralson County was named in honor of General Hugh Anderson Haralson (1805 - 54), U.S. Congressman.

Haralson County is bordered by  Polk County (north), Paulding County (northeast), Carroll County (south), Cleburne County, Alabama (west)
