Candler County, Georgia (Map It) was created on July 14, 1914 from Bulloch County, Emanuel County, and Tattnall County. Candler County was named in honor of Allen Daniel Candler (1834 - 1910), state legislator, U.S. Congressman and the Governor of Georgia (1898 - 1902).
