Camden County, Georgia (Map It) was created on February 5, 1777 from St Mary and St Thomas Parishes. Camden County was named in honor of Sir Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden (1714 - 94), Lord Chancellor of Great Britain who was sympathetic to the cause of the Revolution.

Camden County is bordered by  Glynn County (north), Nassau County, Florida (south), Charlton County (southwest), Brantley County (northwest)

The Camden County Courthouse is located in Woodbine, Georgia.

• Camden County Clerk of Superior Court has Land Records from 1773 and Court Records from 1790. The County Clerk of Superior Court has jurisdiction over cases for title to land and equity, felony cases, adoptions, divorces, child support and custody enforcement.
