Clark County, Idaho (Map It) was created on February 1, 1919 from Fremont County. Clark County was named in honor of Sam K. Clark, early settler and a member of the Idaho Senate.

Clark County is bordered by Lemhi County (west), Butte County (southwest), Jefferson County (south), Fremont County (east), Beaverhead County, Montana (north).
