Washington County, Utah (Map It) was created on March 03, 1852 as an original county of Territory of Utah. The county was named in honor of George Washington (1732–1799), President of the United States from 1789 to 1797.
Washington County is bordered by  Iron County (north), Kane County (east), Mohave County, Arizona (south), Lincoln County, Nevada (west).
