I can most easily and quickly perform look-ups in the Seattle Public Library collection.
I also have database access to historical Seattle newspapers (Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer).
I am willing to perform on-site research in genealogical, courthouse, and historical repositories with a focus on Seattle and King County. I have more limited access to sites in Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap, and Thurston Counties. Key research locations include:
-Seattle Public Library
-NARA Seattle
-Fiske Genealogical Library
-Seattle Genealogical Society
-County courthouses
-Heritage Quest Library
-Washington State Historical Society
-Washington State Library
I can perform newspaper research in the Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer databases. I can also look up any Washington state obituaries in microfilmed newspapers held at the University of Washington or Washington State Library (which should include nearly every extant state newspaper).
I can most easily and quickly perform look-ups in the Seattle Public Library collection, which includes historical directories from across the state, genealogical periodicals, and Washington State DAR Genealogical Records Committee Collection ("Family Records of Washington Pioneers" and "Genealogical and Historical Gleanings"—while many volumes are online, the indexes are not).
Many of the collections include resources with geographic coverage beyond the Pacific Northwest. If you are able to locate a specific rare or undigitized item held in a local repository, I can perform a look-up for you.
I am willing to consider on-site research requests in Washington state outside the above-listed locations but I may need to decline or require a longer timeframe to fulfill your request.
