I wish to effusively praise the recent efforts of volunteer researcher Melora Hiler (Georgia). One month ago I contacted her about an unusual situation. Four weatherman were aboard a Coast Guard ship sunk in 1942 by a German U-Boat. Only recently was it determined that these four weathermen deserved Purple Hearts. Research was done by the Coast Guard and NOAA, and relatives of the three of the four weathermen were located; they received the Purple Hearts in honor of their relatives in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. back in Nov 2015. When I learned that relatives of one of the weathermen (Luther H. Brady, born 1914 in Atlanta) were not found, I tried from my computer to locate a living relative. I soon realized that newspaper obits would be necessary to find, so I went to your website and contacted Melora Hiler. WITHIN ONE MONTH she found a living relative and it is hoped that this elderly lady will soon receive the Purple Heart, in honor of Luther Brady. Melora spent many, many hours on this project and was a delight to correspond with. Melora Hiler deserves the highest rating possible.
