Piatt County, Illinois (Map It) was created on January 27, 1841 from DeWitt County and Macon County. Piatt County was named for John Piatt, the patriarch of a prominent settler family in the early history of the county .

Piatt County is bordered by  McLean County (north), Champaign County (east), Douglas County (southeast), Moultrie County (south), Macon County (southwest), DeWitt County (west)

  • Piatt County Clerk & Recorder of Deeds has Marriage Records from 1841, Birth & Death Records from 1877 and Land Records from 1840.
