If you’re experiencing difficulty finding your family in a census, record information about your family’s neighbors on a blank census sheet and locate them in different census records. When you find them, look for members of your family in the census record image itself.
This can help you find people whose names may have been transcribed incorrectly or omitted from a transcription.
