Lewis County, Idaho Records

Lewis County, Idaho (Map It) was created on March 3, 1911 from Nez Perce County. Lewis County was named in honor of Meriwether Lewis (1774-1809), a leader of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

Lewis County is bordered by Nez Perce County (northwest), Idaho County (southeast), Clearwater County (northeast).
