Bradley County, Arkansas<\/strong> (Map It<\/a>)<\/em> was created on December 18,1840<\/strong> and was formed from Union County<\/a>. Parts of Bradley County was used to form the following counties: Cleveland 1873, Dallas 1845, Drew 1846, Lincoln 1871.<\/p>\n\n

Other county boundry changes<\/a> occured when Part of Calhoun attached 19 October 1862, part restored to Ashley 21 January 1859. Bradley County was named in honor of Hugh Bradley<\/a>, a officer in the\u00a0War of 1812<\/a>\u00a0 who served at the Battle of New Orleans with General Andrew Jackson and early area settler.<\/p>\n\n

Bradley County<\/strong> is bordered by Cleveland County<\/a> (north), Drew County<\/a> (east), Ashley County<\/a> (southeast), Union County<\/a> (southwest), Calhoun County<\/a> (west)<\/p>\n\n
