Other county boundry changes<\/a> occured when Line with Scott County changed 21 March 1881 and 2 March 1903. Logan County was named in honor of James Logan<\/a>\u00a0(1791\u20131859), an early settler of western Arkansas. <\/p>\n\n

Logan County<\/strong> is bordered by Johnson County<\/a> (north), Pope County<\/a> (northeast), Yell County<\/a> (southeast), Scott County<\/a> (south), Sebastian County<\/a> (west), Franklin County<\/a> (northwest).<\/p>\n\n
