I want to thank Terena for going above and beyond in acquiring the gravestone photos I requested. This is truly an Act of Genealogical Kindness!

John_Riley wishes to thank:
Bridget Benz »

In the latter stages of her pregnancy Bridget Benz went out into the melting snow of Holy Cross cemetery in Ovid, New York to digitally photograph gravestones for me. She did a great job. I only knew where she was in the motherhood game after the fact. I remain most grateful. She is a dedicated volunteer and one tough customer.

Iris rocks! She found the old will I was hoping to read, copied it, and sent it right away. I felt spoiled, like I had a personal assistant! There’s nothing better than professional grade volunteers in any endeavor, and when it comes to long-distance research the best people on RAOGK are a pure godsend.

Absolutely fantastic service on cemetery photos; she even stitched some together to give me a panorama of “my” cemetery. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks, Linda.

Deb Ketchum »

Thank you’s go out for a special caring person. Finally after 4 years I contacted Deb to review information she gave me in 2004. She followed up on that info and because of that effort I was able to connect 3 more families I had no idea were connected. Families were Tessin, Roloff, Michaelis, Knecht & Schneider in Cold Spring, Fort Atkinson & Whitewater.
Thanks again, Deb

Jennifer Logan »

Jennifer Logan rocks! I was seeking a birth record that El Dorado County didn’t have. Before making a 4-hr trip up to El Dorado county to look up records at the library when I didn’t know whether they even existed, I decided to submit a raogk request to see if someone locally could shed some light on whether the library might have the birth record.

Jen really went the extra mile for me. She not only verified that the library did not have the record (saving me the long trip up there and a gazillion dollars in gas), but also provided me with all the info on the family that the library did have, which identified a few new people for my tree.

And, she was extremely quick to respond to my request. Thanks, Jen!

Jill Novak »

Thanks to Jill Novak, a Jersey girl who unlocked a mystery about Elizabeth Reed b. 1733 and died at age 23 in Ashford, CT. Though I already have lots of ancestry for others back to Colonial days, this was an elusive person and Jill found info on Ancestry about her family tree.
