Before submitting your request, please read the Guidelines for making a request. We want your visit to be a successful one.
Submit as specific a request as possible -- don't be too general.
Be sure to limit your request to areas in which the volunteer is offering to research. Do not ask the volunteer for out of area requests.
If you do not find a volunteer in the area you need, check back again as new volunteers come along every day.
Never make the same request of more than one volunteer at a time.

If you are unable to narrow down the town of the person's death, then let me know the last town the person lived in according to the last census, or social security index, etc and I will check there. If you still can't narrow anything down, then I will limit my search to the main town in that county. I will do lookups if you only know the month of death, and not the exact date if they did NOT die in Portland. Portland's paper is simply too huge to try and sort through for a month. I can also look up deaths in the Oregon Death Index as well if that will help. |
